Honors: Ways of Meaning - This course was particularly influential because it introduced me to concepts in language and meaning that I had never before considered. Debating the extent to which meaning can be translated between different languages was valuable to the development of my personal writing, which has become increasingly more important in the last year.
FIN 350 - This course was the first to highlight my interest in finance.  My professor was engaging throughout the entire quarter, and painted finance as somewhat of a puzzle, and also as a subject critical to business decision making and leadership. While it is only an entry level course, it provided me with the foundation necessary for my first internship, which is detailed further in the link to the right.
MKTG 445 - Similar to FIN 350, this course highlighted important elements of a future career in business. In this course I worked in a team of student consultants to improve organizational effectiveness, competitiveness, and explore growth opportunities of a local small to mid-sized business. The final report we delivered to our client is included in the link to the right.
IBUS 490 - I took this special topic course in international business while studying abroad in Argentina. The course was taught by two professors at the Universidad de San Andres and analyzed emerging economies. During this course I developed an interest in how a country's culture impacts in structure and success of its economy and thus its citizens. Further reflection of the Foster Argentina program can be found throughout the rest of my portfolio.
Honors: Lovework an Unfinished Syllabus - This course was incredible because it considered love in all forms and contexts. It was unlike any other course I have taken. Having the opportunity to write about something so abstract, as well as express it in a number of other mediums, helped to unlock my creativity as well.
Honors: Basic Drawing - This was by far my favorite class that I was able to take through the interdisciplinary honors program. The opportunity to take a course, completely dedicated to creative expression, was something that I never believed I would be able to do at UW. I am hopeful to continue developing my drawing and art skills after graduation.
